Snow dyed in Canada.
Description: Starting with shibori techniques and using only black dye, this beautifully patterned linen scarf is created. The dye is split so that pale shades of grey, blue, green and mauve remain behind in a one-of-a-kind accessory. This generously sized scarf can be worn as a shawl or even a sarong!
Uniquely made in Canadian snow using natural fibres. Traditional Shibori techniques of folding, twisting, and tying result in beautiful designs. Due to the gradual and variable nature of the process each scarf is one-of-a-kind. Original and timeless designs, natural fibres, and vibrant colours are a hallmark of Doris’ work.
Dyeing with snow and using Shibori All of Doris’ scarves are made using natural fibres: cotton, linen, silk, bamboo, rayon and wool.
